PROJECT HIGHLIGHT: Cultivating Courage at OstemVille A collaboration by @thebraverylab, @theaverygroup, and @apexsolfoundationng

On July 4th, 2025, we came together to spark a movement of confidence, courage, and care at OstemVille (Maranatha Schools), Ogudu, Lagos.
Our Girl Child Project, themed “Cultivating Courage: A Road to Strength and Self-Discovery,” was more than just a school event it was a safe space for girls to be heard, seen, and celebrated.

Here’s what went down:

100 young girls from JSS2 to SS2 received hygiene kits a small but powerful step toward reinforcing their dignity and self-worth.

Each kit wasn’t just about physical health it was a message: “You matter. You deserve care.”

An interactive empowerment session followed an honest, eye-opening conversation around identity, self-confidence, and courage in a complex world. The girls shared, listened, and asked thoughtful questions.

Facilitators Included:
• Charles Nweze from The Avery Group, who connected deeply with the girls on owning their voice.
• Dr. Oyindamola Ijewere, Chief bravery officer TBL, who offered heartfelt guidance and wisdom.
• Bolatito Daramola from The Bravery Lab, who led with empathy, experience, and passion.

1 hour 30 minutes. That’s all it took to light a fire in these young hearts and the impact was immediate. The girls left with smiles, pride, and a new sense of self-belief. The Female teachers were not left out we gifted them hygiene kits in appreciation for their daily work in shaping these young minds. The school administration expressed heartfelt gratitude, describing the session as “timely, transformational, and necessary.”

We’re incredibly thankful to everyone who made this possible especially The Avery Group for showing up and showing love.

Our goal? To reach more schools,
ree
more girls, and spark a wave of courage that transforms communities.

This is how we build strong girls and a stronger future.
